Anthony Joshua Speaks After Fatal Crash

British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Joshua has broken his silence after a fatal road accident in December 2025 that claimed the lives of two of his close friends, Latif Ayodele (Latz) and Gami Sina. In a video shared on Instagram, the former heavyweight champion described the pair as his “brothers” and spoke emotionally about the shock and pain of the loss.

Joshua said the crash occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway, shortly after they had made plans to conclude the year together.

He noted that the tragedy had a profound impact on their families and everyone close to them, calling the loss a devastating one.He pledged to continue supporting the families of the deceased, stressing that it was not about legacy but about doing what was right. Joshua also expressed gratitude to first responders, medical staff, and individuals who assisted him in the aftermath, describing his message as a heartfelt tribute to his fallen friends.
