Cristiano Ronaldo produced a vintage moment on Sunday, scoring a spectacular overhead kick in Al-Nassr’s 4-1 victory over Al-Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League.
The 40-year-old met Nawaf Boushal’s cross with a perfectly timed acrobatic finish in the sixth minute of stoppage time at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh, bringing the crowd to its feet. The goal, his 954th in professional football, drew comparisons to his iconic bicycle kick for Real Madrid against Juventus in the 2018 Champions League quarter-final.
Ronaldo, who also netted an overhead kick for Portugal against Poland in the Nations League in November 2024, continues to defy age with decisive contributions.
The win moves Al-Nassr four points clear at the top of the table. Despite his prolific form, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has yet to lift a trophy since his move to Saudi Arabia in 2023.
