United Nigeria Airlines has confirmed that social media personalities Martins Otse (VeryDarkMan) and Freedom Atsepoyi (Mr Jollof) were handed over to airport security on Monday after a heated altercation during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport, Delta State.

A viral video earlier showed both men engaged in a physical confrontation inside the aircraft.

In a statement, the airline’s spokesperson, Chibuike Uloka, said the crew acted swiftly and professionally to defuse the situation in line with global aviation safety standards. He noted that the passengers were immediately deboarded to protect the safety and comfort of others onboard.

The statement reads:

“United Nigeria Airlines confirms that an altercation occurred between two passengers, identified as Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan) and Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi (Mr Jollof), during the boarding of Flight UN0523 at Asaba International Airport on the morning of November 17, 2025.

“In line with aviation safety protocols, our crew responded promptly to de-escalate the situation. Both passengers were deboarded and handed over to airport security for further investigation.

“United Nigeria Airlines prioritizes safety and maintains a zero-tolerance policy for any behaviour that threatens passengers or crew. Once all procedures were completed, the flight departed safely while the individuals involved remained with authorities.”
