Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has lost his mother, Mrs Sarah Chukwueze. The news was announced by his brother, David Chukwueze, in emotional posts shared on Instagram.
“Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum,” David wrote, adding, “My forever love just left me without saying goodbye,” as he described the family’s struggle with the loss.
The National Sports Commission later confirmed that Mrs Chukwueze died after a brief illness and extended its condolences to the Super Eagles winger and his family.
